101 Things in 1001 Days

Hot air balloon

On my list: Hot air balloon ride!

A while back a guy from New Zealand named Michael Green dreamed up an idea of setting very specific goals that can be accomplished by a specific deadline. He called it the 101 Things in 1001 Days Project from Day Zero. Think of it as a bucket list. The Day Zero Project is a unique challenge-based goal setting community that goes beyond the regular to-do list to get you achieving your personal goals in life. It’s free to join and use and you can record your list there and have accountability too. But that’s not why I’m writing today.

I choose to keep my list just on this blog. I’ll be accountable to myself, thank you. And I do hope to accomplish as many of the tasks as I possibly can. Only time will tell. I’ll be updating here on a monthly basis to let you know how I’m doing. I got inspired to do this by my daughters. Jenn went first and one of her goals was to get someone else to do a list… she succeeded… both her sister and I are doing it!

Why don’t you start your own list too? There’s no time limit on when to start. You can start any time, and then just count 1001 days from there. You can get lots of ideas from other lists you’ll find at Day Zero or by Googling “101 Things in 1001 Days”. If you do start one, comment on it here and leave a link… maybe we can compare notes!
